Who we are

These terms apply to services booked with Aurora Trails Lapland, Pihkaporintie, 96800 Rovaniemi.

Requests and confirmation

The booking form on this website sends a reservation request and gives you a reference number. It is not yet a booking. We check availability and reply in writing; your booking exists once we have confirmed the date, time, pickup place and price, and you have accepted them.

Prices

• Transfer prices are per vehicle, one way, in euros, as published in the price list. A listed price always applies to its listed route.
• For an address that is not on the list, the fare calculator measures the driving distance and we confirm the fare in writing before you commit.
• Hourly hire includes 30 km per hour.
• The Northern Lights tour is priced from €65 per person. Shared seats are priced per person; private tours per car or van.

Payment

Bookings with a fixed or calculated price are paid in full by card when you book, through Stripe’s secure payment page; the booking is confirmed once the payment succeeds. Anything priced on request, and tours shown with a “From” price, are paid as set out in our written confirmation.

Cancellations and changes

The cancellation and change terms for your booking are stated in your written confirmation, before you commit. If your dates might move, say so in your request.

Weather and the Northern Lights

The aurora is a natural event that depends on solar activity and clear sky, and nobody can control it. That is why every tour carries the refund guarantee below.

No aurora captured by our guide’s camera during your tour? We refund your tour payment in full. You can also book a tour for the following evening at the same package price, subject to availability — that is a separate, paid booking.

Transfers

• Give us the right flight number, arrival or pickup time, passenger count and luggage, so we can send the right vehicle at the right time.
• Vehicle classes carry: Car / SUV — up to 3 passengers · 3 pieces of luggage; Standard Minivan — 4–7 passengers · 8 pieces of luggage; Mercedes-Benz Vito — 7–8 passengers · 8 pieces of luggage. If your party or luggage exceeds the class you booked, tell us before the day.

On the tour

You will spend time outdoors on an Arctic winter night: dress for it, and follow your guide’s instructions about roads, ice and the vehicle. Tell us in advance about children in your group and anything that affects how you travel.

Law

These terms are governed by Finnish law. Nothing in them limits the rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law.
