Nobody controls the sky, so every tour carries our guarantee: no aurora on our guide’s camera, your tour payment back.

We meet you where you’re staying. Add your accommodation when you book and we’ll confirm the time with your reservation.

Town light washes the sky out. So the first thing we do is drive away from it — out past the last streetlamps, into the forest.

Cloud moves, and so do we. Where we stop depends on the night: a frozen lake, a forest road, an open field with a long view north.

Snow underfoot, stars overhead, and time to wait. The aurora often starts as a faint grey-green arc. Then it moves.

When the night is done, we bring you back to your door.
Why Aurora Trails
No catalogue of forty activities. Aurora tours and transfers are all we do, so they get all of our care.
Every transfer price is published per vehicle — not per head — from the airport run to Tromsø. You know the figure before you ask.
A Car/SUV for up to three, a minivan for up to seven, a Mercedes-Benz Vito for up to eight — each with room for luggage.
Nobody controls the aurora. We’d rather tell you that plainly and then work hard for your night than sell you a certainty that doesn’t exist.
Airport transfer
Know your transfer price before you book. Rovaniemi Airport to any accommodation within 10 km is a listed price, per vehicle — and the calculator measures the road to any other address.

No one can promise that, and we won’t. The aurora depends on solar activity and on clear, dark sky — both change by the hour. What we control is the effort: leaving the town’s light behind and going where the sky looks most promising that night. No aurora captured by our guide’s camera during your tour? We refund your tour payment in full. You can also book a tour for the following evening at the same package price, subject to availability — that is a separate, paid booking.
Per vehicle, not per person. Each route has a listed price for each of our three vehicle classes — for example, Rovaniemi Airport to the city centre or any hotel within 10 km is €50 by Car/SUV, €75 by minivan and €85 by Mercedes-Benz Vito. The full price list shows every route.
Not yet. The booking form sends us a reservation request with a reference number. We check availability for your date and reply to confirm — your booking is final once you’ve heard from us.
Yes. When the price is fixed or calculated, you pay in full by card on Stripe’s secure page as you book, and the booking is confirmed straight away. Anything priced on request, and tours shown with a “From” price, are confirmed by reply with how to pay.
