A short list, on purpose.

About Aurora Trails Lapland, Rovaniemi

Aurora Trails is a Lapland company that does two things: Northern Lights tours from Rovaniemi, and private transfers across the north. We’d rather do two things properly than twenty in passing.

Our approach

People come a long way to stand under this sky. Our job is simple to say and hard to do: get them there, and get them home, without a single thing to worry about.

Mission and vision

Our mission

To get every guest under the Lapland sky and safely home again, with clear prices, honest promises and nothing to worry about along the way.

Our vision

To be the most trusted name for Northern Lights evenings and private transfers in Finnish Lapland.

How we work

Four habits we won’t give up.

01

Say it plainly

Nobody controls the aurora, so we back every tour with a clear refund guarantee instead of vague promises. Transfer prices are published in full. You’ll always know where you stand.

02

Let the sky lead

A Northern Lights evening isn’t a fixed circuit. We go where the dark and the clear sky are on the night.

03

Fit the vehicle to the people

Three vehicle classes, from a Car/SUV for three to a Mercedes-Benz Vito for eight, so nobody travels with a suitcase on their lap.

04

Confirm everything in writing

Every booking starts as a request and ends with a clear confirmation: date, time, pickup, price. No assumptions.

Questions?

Talk to us — a person answers.

Unsure which evening to pick, which vehicle fits your group, or whether we drive to your cabin? Ask before you book. Your message goes straight to the people who run the tour and the transfers.

What you can count on

The figure you see is the figure we quote.

Most of what makes a trip to Lapland stressful is not knowing: what the ride from the airport will cost, whether the vehicle will take your luggage, whether anyone has actually read your message. We built Aurora Trails Lapland around removing those questions.

So all 20 of our listed transfer routes are published with a price for each vehicle class — per vehicle, not per head. For an address that isn’t on the list, the fare calculator measures the real driving route from Rovaniemi Airport rather than a straight line, and anywhere within 10 km of the airport is always the listed price.

Booking works the same way for both services. You send a request — it takes a few minutes and costs nothing — and you get a reference number straight away. We check the date and reply in writing with everything in one place: time, pickup point, vehicle, price. Your booking is final only when you’ve seen that and agreed to it.

And on the tour, the one thing we can’t publish is the sky. We’ll tell you that before you book, not after.

Where we operate

Rovaniemi first. Then north.

Rovaniemi, on the Arctic Circle, is home base: it’s where our Northern Lights tours depart and where most of our transfers begin or end.

From there our listed routes reach across Finnish Lapland and over the border. Helsinki and Ivalo have their own price tables:

What we do

Two services, done properly.

An evening under the Northern Lights, and the road that gets you to your door. Everything we have goes into those two.

Two guests on a quiet road lined with snow-laden trees, aurora glowing at the end of it
A family on a snowfield with a bright green aurora along the horizon
A guest reaching up towards a sweeping aurora band by a pine forest
Two guests with arms open wide on a frozen lake under aurora rays
